When you come to harvest your apples from "your leased tree" we will escort you out in the orchard and show you to it! It is that simple. We assign them when you arrive because there are a lot of things we are thinking about like: we want you to enjoy some privacy we like to have you pick a tree that is not right on top of some one else, if you have little people we like to have them away from the parking meadow, if you are on crutches we of course would like to have you as close as possible to your parked automobile. Remember; please park in rear meadow behind old metal barns - follow signs. No running, no using ladders (we have pole pickers) watch where you walk - this is a working farm. Keep in mind that where there is high grass that means there is usually a divit or hole, be careful where you walk and take care of walking thru gardens.. Please also stay out of animal pens and ponds and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. And PLEASE no throwing anything in ponds. Bring bags, boxes and cameras. Four Legged Friends are always welcome on a lead.

Liberty View Farm is a Micro CSA.

Community supported agriculture: CSA is a partnership between a farm and members to provide some financial support throughout the year to a farmer to cover the operating budget for a growing season, including seeds,irrigation, equipment, and labor.  In return the farm provides, to the best of its ability, a healthy supply of seasonal fresh produce.  This strategy allows us to plan and grow crops with the assurance that the community will share in the harvest as well as some of the risks.  It supports a mutually supportive relationship between local farmers and members, and fosters land stewardship by helping members to understand the nature of food production. CSA helps create economically stable farm operations in which members are assured the highest quality produce and farmers are guaranteed a more reliable market for a diverse selection of crops.

Liberty View Farm also pledges to stick to a strong ecological approach to farming as well as treating and paying laborers in a socially responsible way be paying a real living wage of $20- $30 per hour.  We are working towards once again making farming an integral part of the communities everywhere.  Liberty View Farm is also part of the Slow Food Movement.  Become involved with your community, take time to slow down and enjoy life with friends and family.  Create new food memories for yourself as well as children.  Let’s all move towards cultural, social and economic benefits of a sustainable food system, with regional food traditions, the pleasures of the table, and a slower and more harmonious way of life.

If requested; you can give a Beautiful, Personalized Tree Lease where we sustainably email it to you. All you have to do is print it out; place in an envelope or wrap in a box.

Membership includes a share of the seasons harvest from late August thru the later middle half of October depending on variety, the weather and day of the week*. (Some days are closed due to hosting events) A list of day closures will be posted shortly.

Our apple varieties are available for harvest starting in the last two weeks of August - through late October.

Ginger Gold & Macintosh hard ripe - great for pies, eating, applesauce and salads

 Cortland apples are great for eating raw as they don't brown easily.

 Friends and families will be replacing lawns with beds. Edible landscapes are beautiful, easy and do more than just sit there like grass. Liberty View Farm started years ago and now you can too. It’s easy and we will help teach you how.

Liberty View Farm ~ People’s Place  

Proprietor Billiam van Roestenberg of Liberty View Farm sat on the board of directors of People’s Place starting in 2014. Was Vice President for 2 years then was board president from 2018 until 2021.

It's crazy that so many people are hungry everyday.

For years Liberty View Farm has been donating apples and has been very involved with several charities, and this year we have expanded our mission in a huge way. In 2015 Liberty View Farm donated 30,000 lbs of fruit and vegetables. Moving forward the next few years we will use this as a template to help other farms get involved. One in four children face food insecurity, how can this be in our great country? For many years this has been an important issue for Billiam, he is also the President of the Executive Board of Directors for Peoples Place Food pantry in Kingston, NY, the largest in Ulster County, serving over 750,000 meals in 2019 and in October 2019 opened a community cafe. Other organizations we work with include: Dutchess Outreach, Ulster Corps, Poughkeepsie Plenty and Rondout Valley Growers Network.

Growing food is a lot of work, growing healthy food is even more work, growing food to give away is even more work. This is important to us so we do it but we can always use help.

The 2026 Peacock Soirée Series

I’m excited about our first frundraiser coming up. The 2025 Peacock Soirée Series is just about to begin. These fundraisers are going to be something really special. Really great food, really great setting in our Enchanted Orchard and the dress code is going to add to the whole magical experience! Each event is very well thought out and takes advantage of our beautiful farm. We start the welcome cocktail reception in our English Gardens, then we move to our Central Arbor Garden and after that we have dinner in the Enchanted Orchard and then we have our spectacular Silent Disco!

Be part of our mission - to help progressive non profits, which is needed more now than ever before. Let’s come together and celebrate all the beauty of the Hudson River Valley and all it has to offer. Come spend time with like minded people who really care and who love to have fun making a difference!

Liberty View Farm and The Wedding foundry do not charge fees for fundraisers. The charities do have to pay for catering.

Conveniently located for easy transport, this beautiful venue is only 7 minutes from the New Paltz thruway entrance, and 15 minutes from Poughkeepsie train station, serviced by Amtrak and Metro North. You and your partner, all your family and friends can enjoy the perfect four-day wedding weekend in the magnificent Hudson Valley.

Lodging for 100 guests, all within a short walking distance. There are many hotels and Airbnb accommodations within a 2 minute walk of the venue.

The owner Billiam van Roestenberg and Magic Cathy (because she really does work magic) have been working together for 18 years and have hosted almost 300 weddings together. They make an excellent team they are both your wedding planners and wedding carters in Highland. The additional 10 team members will be assisting your wedding detail setups and will attend to every detail from the minute you book throughout the whole weekend. Our philosophy takes a pragmatic approach to hosting events: we take care of almost anything you can imagine, from the very beginning of the process even after your farewell wedding brunch.

We include everything you might need for a magical wedding weekend. We have blue & white china, and mix-matched antique china and silverware. The excellent service we provide gives you the time and beautiful surroundings to connect with family and friends during your celebrations. We love making everyone happy on every level. We consider it your wedding and one of our weddings as well.

Fulfilling the vision of your wedding theme is unique and easy on Liberty View Farm. So you don’t have to spend extra time and money renting all of the items for your wedding, We include different sets of china, tables, chairs and other accessories for wedding dinner - We have the mixed match antique china and silverware, glassware, farm tables, linen napkins, dozens of silver platters, hundreds of votives, bud-vases and many floral containers, many accessories and props. You and your friends and family can even use flowers seasonally from the farm. You save time and money, creating memories every step of the way. Many of the items we include are in the photos on this website.  A sustainable way to have a most special day. Our beautiful country farm setting is the perfect place to entertain. A country wedding venue has many advantages in that the setting itself offers almost all the "decoration." Privately, you and your guests have access to the farmhouse, guesthouse, barns, orchard, edible landscapes and flower gardens throughout the property. Wonderful photo-ops and views are plentiful on our farm.

Our farm combined with our team and all the items we include ensure a perfect wedding. The whole process is stress free and fun. We often hear from our couples that they are actually having fun with the whole process as opposed to their friends who are constantly stressed with all aspects of planning and dealing with so many responsibilities including rentals. Liberty View Farm is part of every step and our expertise with over 18 years of hosting weddings makes a big difference. Many other venues have tried hosting wedding and last only a few years. We have been happily hosting for over 18 years. Other venues had a hard time finding help but my team and I have been working together for years. Some of us have been working together for 10, 18 and 24 years. We all have a vested interest in making sure every little detail is perfect. It’s your wedding but we also consider everyone of our weddings we host; one of ours.
