In 1999, **Liberty View Farm** began as a transition from the structured world of architecture and the expressive realm of fine art to the living, breathing canvas of the Hudson Valley. Founded by **Billiam van Roestenberg**, the farm was born from a desire to cultivate beauty—not just in the soil, but in the way we gather and celebrate.
With a professional background in design and a deep-rooted passion for the land, Billiam has spent over two and a half decades transforming this acreage into a sanctuary for intentional living. What started as a personal journey has evolved into a premier destination for those seeking Ag-tourism events and weddings.

We specialize exclusively in the Moderé wedding—a concept defined by a higher degree of detail, curated intimacy, and an all-inclusive ease. By focusing specifically on gatherings of 25 to 65 guests, we ensure that every element—from the timeline to the table setting—is executed with architectural precision and artistic soul. It is a richer, more intentional way to celebrate, where the host can truly be present with those they love.

The Meaning Behind the Name: Libérty View Farm

When I first named this land in 1999, it was a declaration of my values. Libérty View is more than just a description of our landscape; it is a blueprint for how we live and grow. To us, Liberty represents:

Liberty as Equality: A tribute to our roots in the human rights movement and the belief that the freedom to love and celebrate is a fundamental right for all.
Liberty from Pesticides: Our commitment to the earth. We believe in the freedom of the land to grow naturally, providing our guests with flowers and food that are as pure as the environment they were raised in. 20 years ago conventional growers would make comments about my growing practices where we did not use Round-Up pesticides on my farm they thought my farm was not well kept when in fact under the rows of many of my orchard we had soft landing areas for pollinators and now years later it seems I was on the right path after all.
A View Toward the Future: We aren't just looking at the horizon; we are looking toward a more sustainable, symbiotic future where agriculture, community, and celebration live in harmony. Small working family farms need Ag-tourism to survive.
Designing the Farm: In 1999 I started designing the farm to be beautiful and and sustainable. Edible landscapes would be the foundation. The driveways were just mud, everything was over grown, you could not see the old stone walls. I put in driveways and paths, installed underground drainage and water systems. Function now meets beauty.
